Philippe Ligarius (LPH) received his PhD degree from the University of Rouen (France), on control and observation of distributed parameter systems, in 1995. He worked in the department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Laboratory of Control Theory (LMI-INSA, UPRESA CNRS 6085) of the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) of Rouen, France. He has also held academic positions at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) and the Institute of Technology (IUT) of Rouen, France. He was a visiting scientist in 1996–1997, at the Facultes Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP) at Namur, Belgium, and the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) at Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium. He worked in the context of the Belgian program on Inter-University Poles of Attraction (IUAP-PAI), on the analysis and control of complex systems. His research interest include stabilization, observation and control of (mechanical, chemical, robot) systems in infinite dimensional spaces. He currently teaches Physical Sciences to the high school Pierre de Coubertin (Bolbec-France).
